WTL Toy Overview

The Willetton Toy library currently has 500 toys that can be borrowed by library members. The library offers a wide range of toys that cater for children between the ages of 0 - 6 years. Through government grants and fundraising we strive to keep our library up-to-date with popular and educational toys.

Advantages for toy library members

Introduces children and parents to toys that they may not have been aware of.
Children often get bored with the same toy. With the toy library you can change toys within a two week period.
Gives you the chance to try before you buy. Sometimes a toy you think will be a hit ends up being left untouched.
Some of the more expensive toys have a small period of age appropriateness. No more wasting money on those outgrown toys. As children grow out of a toy, simply borrow a more age appropriate toy.

Our Toy Categories

Active
Introduce your child to the world of active play. We have slides, climbers, sport sets and playhouses.

Babies
Catering for newborn up to 6-9 months. These are the toys that babies grow out of quickly, yet are an important part of their development. We have Baby Assorted Boxes, which are filled with a selection of shape sorters, people play, musical toys, and pop-ups to name a few.

Construction
Build, join and then play! Railways, blocks, Mobilo and Duplo are some of what is on offer.

Dress-ups
Create a whole new world of fun with our quality dress-ups. Also useful for those fancy dress parties.

Finding Out
Animal sets such as dinosaurs and farm animals.

Grading & Manipulation
Challenge your child with toys that help develop and enhance fine motor skills.

Indoor
Our indoor range is not only fun but educational as well. Challenge your child with board games and puzzles. You will find memory, counting and alphabet games.

Jigsaws
Gaining knowledge is fun with our jigsaw puzzles. Many of our puzzles encourage children to play with, discover and understand concepts about our world.

Let's Pretend
Home and kitchen appliances, workshops, cleaning sets, doctor kits and doll houses to name a few. This is one of our largest groups, consisting of toys that will spark hours of active imaginative play and role play.

Music
Get those tiny hands clapping and little toes tapping. Music sets that offer a selection of instruments to introduce your child to a range of rhythms and sounds.

Party Packs
A fantastic selection of activities perfect for kids parties. Packs include bean bags, egg and spoon race, parachute, walking stilts and bubble wands. The perfect choice when taking advantage of the toy library's Party Hire option.

Push Arounds
A range of vehicles for push around pretend play, trolleys and walkers. Also includes ride-on toys (for younger children), some with handles attached for adults to push.

Ride-ons
Let your child 'take to the road'. Our range of ride-ons include Little Tikes and Step2 vehicles, Roller Coasters, trikes and scooters.

Sand Vehicles
A selection of rugged construction vehicles for sand play.

Toddler
Toys for the older baby of 9 months to 18 months. Includes the very popular DiscoverSounds range, activity tables, and activity zoo and gardens.
