Membership consists of a financial and practical commitment, as the Willetton Toy Library operates exclusively on the voluntary services of its members.
In addition to the joining costs, it is a condition that you are required to :
There are two levels of membership :
The toy library year runs from July-June and fees are pro-rated accordingly:
(This means, if you join in April, you will pay for only 3 months of membership, therefore pay less. If you join in July, you will pay for the full 12 months of membership.)

Gold Star membership is an additional $10 no matter which month you join.
Loan Period
Toys may be borrowed for a maximum of two weeks.
Library Session Times :

| Friday | 9.15 am - 10.15 am |
It is essential that we adhere to the above session times, due to the many other uses Council has for the building. Therefore, we ask that members arrive no later than 10:00am if they wish to have the opportunity to select new toys.
Toy Categories
The toys are categorised as follows:
| Green | Toys valued $110 and over |
| White | Toys valued under $110 |
| Blue | Puzzles and Games |
Members may only borrow one green toy at a time.
Members may find that some toys in the green category may be under the purchased value of $110. This is beacuse the toy is in exceptional condition, or highly popluar and in high demand!
Temporary Membership
You can join temporarily for a period of up to four weeks
This is a great idea for visiting relatives or catering for children's birthday parties/school holidays or just 'trying out' the toy library to see if it is what you want!
Cleaning Toys
Members are required to ensure that all toys borrowed are returned in a clean and hygienic state. We are committed to providing our children with safe, clean and well maintained toys at all times.
Stock Take
The Toy Library conducts an audit of all toys at the end of every year (Nov/Dec). We need all toys returned prior to stock take day. This is notified via newsletter to all members.
It is a condition of membership that you attend stock take for a 2-hour time slot on the nominated day. Sorry, children are not permitted to attend stock take. For those that are unable to attend stock take, an additional library session roster is assigned *.

Newsletters
As part of your membership you will receive regular newsletters either by email or post. We take this opportunity to communicate important information to you and try to keep them brief and concise. You will find out about the latest new toys available, any committee positions vacant and news and updates on the latest fundraising initiatives.
Late returns, missing or broken toys
Out of fairness to other members to continue to have the opportunity of selecting a wide variety of toys, fines are levied for late returns or missing toys.
You have a one session grace period to make your returns. Thereafter, a fine of $1 per session applies, regardless of the number of toys borrowed.
If a toy is returned with a missing piece/s, the member is required to re-borrow the toy, in the hope of locating the missing part and the toy being returned complete.
The onus is upon the member to ensure that all pieces listed on the toy card are with the toy and in good condition when they sign the toy out.
If a missing piece cannot be found, or a toy is returned with broken pieces, a fine of $5.00 will be charged and a Lost Toy form must be completed by the committee member on roster.
Members will not be fined for broken toys.
There are some conditions of course!! If the toy damage is extensive, or appears caused by negligence (e.g. burned/melted) or abuse (e.g. chewed by a pet), the committee reserves the right to apply an initial fine of $5.00 and to discuss the matter at the next committee meeting, where they may collectively decide to impose further costs to compensate for repair/replacement.
